Dreamer

I keep thinking back to when I was younger. 7 or 8 years old. I remember how no matter how bad things were I could always find a reason to smile. A day of adventures at the park. Building the tree house out back when we lived in northern hill tx. I remember when we had the least. We were the happiest. The family always became closer. And the little things made the day so much better.
This year the holiday season is coming soon. And while we all expect a tree full of presents. And big family dinners. I ask that we open our eyes. And our hearts. Really see the people you call family. Because that is what our once great nation is lacking. We have lost each other. Find your family this coming season. Now be that family blood or not. Given or chosen. A family is a family. And a family is what we are all looking for.
So this fall season. As the leaves turn lovely shades of brown red and yellow. Reach out and find your family. And for at least a moment in your day. Hold on to them and remind them how special they are to you. For one day they will be gone. And you wont remember the childish fights. Or what he or she said. You will only remember the good things. That are no longer there.
